About Us

Mission Statement
Our mission is to continue the fight against pancreatic cancer by acting as "warrior advocates" in bringing awareness, raising funds, and demanding better in relation to the prevention, detection, treatment and research of this horrific disease.
Our Story
The Edgerton.Life Pancreatic Cancer Foundation was established to carry on the work and the fight that our founder (Andrew Fletcher Edgerton) had originally waged.  Diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer at the age of 37 and was given just months to live, he far exceeded estimates and fought relentlessly for nearly 2 years. In October of 2017, just 16 hours from his 40th birthday, Andy passed away. During his own treatment he choose to devote himself to something larger than just himself, by educating others about the disease by shining the spotlight on his own story and by creating a mission to build a resource to make the path easier for those who would come after him. Thus, the foundation was born.

Edgerton.Life Pancreatic Cancer Foundation was officially established as an operating 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in 2018. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors, who collectively share a simple belief, that each of us has a responsibility to act, to advocate, to bring awareness, and a responsibility to fight for those that can no longer fight for themselves.
Andrew Edgerton
The Foundation believes that everyone deserves access to the most advanced treatment, no matter who they are or where they live; the ability to consult with a specialist to discuss and juxtapose the most current treatment options to create a specific plan for them with the most advantageous outcome possible.

The board of directors and it's committee members have passion for this work as they know they are making a difference by improving knowledge transfer, raising funds to help with patient services/support, and helping with the advancement of research which will prolong and save lives.

As an operating 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation along with our strategic partners from the nonprofit and business sectors,  contribute directly to issues impacting patients. Our events, speaking engagements, fundraisers and other programs are designed to make a real impact on the individual and on a widespread basis. The goal of every effort is to help patients and to FIND A CURE.
Our leadership has a simple belief, that each of us has a responsibility to act, to advocate, to bring awareness, and a responsibility to fight for those who can no longer fight for themselves.
